Every surface of the tonneau case is covered in intricate scrollwork, floral motifs, and geometric Art Deco patterns. This level of engraving was done entirely by hand, one cut at a time, by a master engraver. The two-tone dial features concentric oval design elements: an outer cream track with bold Art Deco Arabic numerals, an inner oval with additional decorative elements, and a small recessed centre. "GRUEN" is visible at 6 o'clock. The dial has developed honest patina over its century of existence, adding character. A blue cabochon crown sits at 3 o'clock, adding a jewellery-like accent. The silver filigree S-curve link bracelet matches the case's decorative intensity. Every component was designed as a unified decorative object.
